Congratulations to the readers and writers on this international blog. We began this blog early in January 2009 in response to students who had taken part in the 2008 student blogging challenge. Since that time, we have had over 2500 visitors from 55 countries of the world. We have written 35 posts – that is at least one every week and have received over 440 comments.

There are many students I would like to congratulate with regard to the 2008 blogging competition but firstly:
Max from Canada regarding this new blog
I think the url should be somthing like studentfriendship at edublogs
“International Writers” should be the tittle and “bringing us together” should be the tag.
And I think Cordobo Green Park would be a good theme.
We only made a few changes from his suggestions, so well done Max.
Then from our teachers and who they felt deserved either the keenest or most improved bloggers during the period of the blogging competition. The names of these students are in our blogroll, but some of the comments included:
Blogging passion, lives and breathes her blog, thoughtful comments, inspiring growth in writing, connecting across languages, creativity and true spirit of blogging.
Well done, to every student who took part in the 2008 competition. A new competition will be starting in March so some of you will be old hands while in the Southern Hemisphere, students will be n00bies to blogging as it is the beginning of their school year.
