Who is involved?
Instead of having a page per school participating in this global activity, the main organizers decided one overall page with a small blurb about each school.
Huzzah! & Ms Smith
Hi, everyone!
My students (6th grade, 11-year-olds) and I live in the Comox Valley of Vancouver Island on Canada’s west coast. At certain times of the year you can ski, golf, and sail all on the same day! We see eagles and trumpeter swans regularly, and black bears on occasion.
The action on our class blog Huzzah! is in the student blogs, listed in the sidebar–as always, visitors are welcome! Check out their About and Where I Live pages. We are looking forward to continuing the conversations begun through Miss Wyatt’s student blogging competition and to meeting new friends.
I have been blogging for about 6 months; I learn more and more every day about the power of blogging to connect people around the world and grow brain cells. When I am not teaching, I am eating dark chocolate and thinking about things.

I am a teacher at a country school about half an hour from Hobart, Tasmania. I teach grade 6/7 for many basic subjects as well as grade 8 history and computer classes.
My own interests are genealogy and tracing my own family history, using computers and Web 2.0 tools, reading and since January 2008, blogging.
My classes began using blogs and wikis during 2008 so feel free to visit and leave a comment or two.
Moran Middle School
We are an 8th grade social studies class from Connecticut, USA. We have over 75 students blogging and love to collaborate with classes of any age.
Mrs. Kulikowski
My students and I are from Las Vegas, Nevada in the United States. I teach the 5th grade (10 to 11 year olds). In my class, the students enjoy blogging, reading for long periods of time, and making “movies.” We have explored stop-motion photography, digital storytelling, live video, and podcasting. You can even check out some of their projects here.
Many people think that the only thing to do in Las Vegas is to gamble, and that we all live in casinos, but it is a big place with over 600,000 people living here! We have mountains to hike or ski in the winter, Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead (the largest man-made lake in the United States), and we are minutes from Hoover Dam. Kids in Las Vegas like to play sports, skate board at one of our many local skate parks, go to one of our 5 shopping malls, go to movies, bowl, and much more!
A little about me: I have MANY interests including quilting (I made the quilt in the picture on this page), playing video games, reading, hiking, blogging, cooking, playing board games, and playing with my dog, Chewy.

My students and I belong to Portugal, we live near Lisbon, by the sea. I teach Portuguese to 5th and 6th graders (10 to 12 years old); I started this passionate blogging activity in May 08 with the 31Days Comment Challenge and my young students followed this adventure in September 08 with the Students Blogging Competition.
We are still at our first steps, as most internet activity is done at home, as homeworkand through msn; it’s their first and second year of English and our main concern is that if the original language is not well written, the automate translator is unable to translate properly and we can’t communicate.
It implies not only correct spelling but also ponctuation and syntax, so no wonder if just a few brave students accept the challenge… but they know the power of friendship is bringing us together!
“Our Space”
Hello everyone,
Our school is on the Mornington Peninsula, south of Melbourne in Australia. We started blogging in February this year and have come a long way thanks to the inspiration we get from other blogs around the world, including all of yours! We have four Year 6 classes, and we all write to the same blog about current affairs. By joining you on ”Bringing Us Together” and participating in the 2009 blogging challenge, we hope to share our views more widely and hear about the opinions of others whose experiences may be vastly different from our own. Please visit us at Ourspace. Mrs Jacobs, Mrs North, Mr Prendergast, Mr Ogle and the Year 6 students.
Year 6 & Miss Ale
My students (6th grade, 11 year olds) and I live in Buenos Aires, the largest city in Argentina.
I am a Language Arts teacher and my students enjoy blogging on material we have worked on in class, for practicing different skills, as a means of self reflection or to play any kind of games related to the topics seen in class.
My students will soon be collaborating and moderating their own six grade blog.
I am mostly interested in having our students communicate with students outside Argentina through our blog or Skype.
